The other day while on my way back from the Post Office, a lady and her dog crossed the street just in front of me. They didn’t see me, and as I was walking just a little faster than them, I soon caught up.
On a wild hair, I maintained my 5 to 6 foot distance behind, walking quietly.
The sun came out, throwing my shadow just to her side.
The woman did the skitter-dance, throwing a startled look back at me. I smiled (in truth, trying not to dissolve in gales of laughter), and ended up following her to the corner where I then turned towards my day job.
There is much room for potential amusement in this.
