Hubby and I were wandering through the bakery of the grocery store, admiring their cake art. An employee came up to the counter, overhearing our conversation, and asked if we were getting married soon.
Hubby and I glanced at each other and burst into giggles. “We’ve been married for four years,” we tell her amid our laughs. She gives us a surprised look then grins, and we chat for a moment before wandering on.
As we head to the checkout counter hubby leans in close and whispers:
“How about that? Forget the honeymoon period — we’re so happy that we look like we aren’t even married!”
