2.  Space-saving!

Say you’re a “super-reader.”   You like to read four or five different books at once, maybe more, and you’re going on a trip.  As we all know, airlines are picky.  You don’t want to have to check more than the one allowed bag, but you’ve got to pack enough so you won’t have to do laundry while you’re gone.  You also want to read while you’re there.

eBooks are great for this.  You can store hundreds, maybe thousands of titles on a handheld device that takes up less space than one of your paperbacks.  eBooks can be read on PDAs, cell phones, and regular old laptops, often with free software.  If you’re taking your computer or your cell phone already, take your books too. 🙂  And save on those picky stipulations about bag-checking.
